We in the northeast have had enough of winter. Have you? We are all looking forward to the colorful spring with both the beautiful flowers and the refreshing, cheerful fashion colors. This spring and summer we will see vibrant colors that are tempered with neutral and deeper tones. Lively hues will be grounded by cosmopolitan, translucent shades. |

Palace blue will be combined with each of the other 9 colors, just as slate grey will support all others. Super lemon and salmon rose will turn heads in the summer and be included in fun prints. Salmon rose will flatter many complexions and can be worn by most. Fuchsia rose, a sexy color, usually reserved for lipstick and nail polish, will also provide vivacious looks in clothing. |
| In jewelry, be on the lookout for the Indian, African and floral influences. You will see many big (really big) and gaudy (really gaudy) pendants. Geometric links will be in. They will be mixed with other materials such as glass beads, lucite pieces, shells, leather pieces etc., with the statement being "if it doesn't match, it is very interesting and eclectic". Many of these "mixed media" pieces will be in the form of long necklaces. |

| Blue and green will be mixed, but in a very unique way. A mix of shiny and matte will be combined to give a beachy feel. Coral will be a big jewelry color as well as amazonite and translucent turquoise. Painted shell and worn finished metals will be hot, as well as colored pearls (pale pink, peach, gold, champagne, chocolate, gray, ivory). The key to the pearls will be the great color combinations. |
