Jesse James
and Co. has been in business for over 20 years. In
1986, we started selling apparel components to the
leading manufacturers and fashion designers. Our
clients included: Jones New York, Botany 500, Danskin,
Izod, etc. 15 years ago,
we branched into the craft industry and became a worldwide
leader in embellishments.
WHY DID YOU START SELLING BEADS?
Because we saw
a niche that needed to be filled. Let's
face it, the craft stores sell crappy beads. We
decided to sell top quality beads or as we called them "bead
store quality beads" to these stores.
SO, WHY BESIDES CRAFT STORES, DO
YOU WANT TO SELL TO BEAD STORES?
Well, because
the craft stores still have a craft mentality. Their
focus is on money and the bottom line, not on fashion
or the best products. They
all do well with our selections, but they still have
mainly a bad selection of beads overall. Our philosophy
is that craft store beads make a craft while jewelry
grade beads make a piece of jewelry. We want
to reach a more sopisticated end user.

We have a great
sales staff that will offer
personal assistance to our wholesale accounts. We
will also advise broad Street Beads with any questions
from the ultimate consumer. We are well stocked. We
sell quality. Our prices and assortments are
good --- besides that we are special and different.
We offer special effects and finishes and unique
czech shapes. We also specialize in designer packs.
DESIGNER PACKS?
Yes. While designing our line,
we studied the leading fashion magazines (Vogue , Elle,
Vanity Fair) and took the top designer color
palettes and then combined beads that matched the designer
outfit exactly. The packs are an ideal
starting kit for the jewelry maker. You can add
a great focal piece from your selection to complete
our pack. It
is also ideal for the novice beader who can become
overwhelmed by a huge selection of beads in a bead
store.
Again, take
a fashion magazine, pick something that you like
and i will bet a whole lot that we have the same match
in a bead pack.
BUT I TRIED PACKAGES BEFORE?
Probably the ones that have been
mainstays in the craft stores for a very long time.
These are craft beads. Our package is totally different
and designed especially for the better beader. It
has a sophisticated look. It is night and day different
from anything else that has ever been offered in
package form ... (not
to mention , it is the best value on the market).
WHAT KIND OF BEADS DO YOU SELL?
Our beads
are the same beads use by leading designers and
accessory manufacturers. We buy from the
same factories. You will find these beads on
jewelry in boutique stores and in upscale department
stores. You will not see these "better beads" in
discount store offerings.
